i’ll be tagging them all with #30dayphotochallenge and it will probably take me more than 30 days, b/c i’m bad at remembering to do things….

i’ll start tomorrow.

here’s my own personal 30 day photography challenge:

1. go 30 days without verbally/literally smacking the shit out of some turd who calls themselves a “professional” photographer, even though they have no idea they need things like a tax number, a professional vendor (oh, you use mpix? adorable!), TECHNICAL SKILLS (“spray & pray” is not a technical skill, and running an action in photoshop is not “editing”), etc etc. 

it might be a long-as-fuck 30 days! i have no problem with hobbyists (hello, fellow hobbyists!), but once you start undercutting real photographers & fucking up memories that you only have one chance at, that’s when i start getting pissed.

but seriously. i’ve always wanted to do one of these “__ day/month photography challenge” things, even though i already shoot close to 2 rolls of film a day, regardless.  maybe i’ll start this weekend? or the 1st of september..

Maybe I’ll do this.  Here’s the thing, though: I’ll probably just go through lots of old albums and find photos that fit the criteria.  I got a baby coming (supposedly), and there’s no way I’m going to be able to keep up with this nonsense.

So a lot of people are choosing to do my photo challenge too!! I can’t wait to see all the outcomes!!! <3 

DAY 1 Of Photo Challenge:

Self-Portrait  

The reasoning behind this photo is because, if I’m going to do a TRUE photo of myself, I’m going to be true. I wake up by my son jumping in my bed - brush my mouth, comb my hair-briefly, then start my day. The whole day consist of my son. Mommy picks up toys, her son throws toys, mommy picks them up, son volcano spits toys from his toy shelves. It’s a fun day all in all, but toys are always around me, my hair ends up a mess, my son wants me to hold his teddy while he goes and gets something else.. and so on.. and so one. So, this. Is. Me! :)

DAY 1 OF THE TUMBLR CHALLENGE

Write some basic things about yourself:

Well, I don’t know how many of you following me know this but I’m a mom. I’m a photographer, not professional yet, but I AM Mommy. 

I purposely didn’t think that my first post would be wise to say I am a mother because once I do, I can’t stop. The joys and ups and downs, yes, not many moms like to admit it, but there are  THERE  ARE Downs.. Now I’m not saying it’s the end of the world, but sometimes I do wish I could get my nails done, or do my hair in my bathroom without rushing, or taking a bath without being interrupted for 5 minutes!!.. Ahem.. But it’s all worth it. My son makes everything in life worth it.. because once you become a mommy, you stop thinking about yourself, automatically and your whole world will revolve around your babies. When my son giggles, there is nothing in the world that makes me more happier! Last night I walked into my bedroom to get ready for bed and found my son laying in the middle with the covers pulled up and sleeping so peacefully. In that moment, I was the most happiest Mommy alive, forget doing my hair or washing my face and putting on my night creams and facial things, I just washed up real quick changed into my PJs and hopped into bed with him to snuggle. 

So there is something… basic about myself for today’s Challenge. :)

So after re-reading my post on this challenge, I realized I only put 1 thing about me, when the challenge said “Some THINGS” … FAIL! 

I’m here to fix it! :)

Basic Things About Me

• I’m a Mommy

- Of a 22 Month Old

- And Expecting another in January

• I have 5 Pets

1. A dog, Lula, I raised since she was Smaller then my parent’s cat, we’ve been together since I was a senior in HS and I love her to Death!
2. Then came my cat, Dexter, he was a kitten that my hubby and I took in and he is the best cat in the world! He always cuddles with us and stares into our eyes as if to say: “I love you guys!”. BEST. CAT. EVER!

3. Then came our guinea pig, PorkChop, we took her in from a family who couldn’t give her enough attention. All honesty- she’s really my Son’s pet, but she loves us all! 

4.Then came our roudy husky, Varian, we purchased him when he was a pup from Petland. THE. MOST. GORGEOUS. DOG. I’VE. EVER. SEEN! How can we stay mad at him when we look into his ice-y blue eyes and his whole coat is white. He looks like a wolf. We love that crazy, energetic, lovable boy!

5. And Finally came our Tarantula, Neith (Pronounced like “Nay-th”) She’s really my Husband’s pet since I HATE SPIDERS!! But seeing how she has a personality, and seeing some other the things she does and how much she loves to play with my husband, how can I hate HER! She’ is the most intersting pet out of all 5. Spinning her little thick silk webs from time to time, so graceful while cleaning herself, walking with such elegance. Truly she has given me a different look at spiders. I’m kind enough to not screech and step on spiders I come across now thanks to Neith.

• I LOVE taking photos at night

-I love how the world looks at night

-I love how it looks through my camera

-I love how the night time gives energy that the sun can’t

• Somethings Most People who know me don’t know-

-I’m a 21 year old Mother

-I’ll be 22 year old mother with 2 kids

-I have a Veterinary Assistant Certificate, though I don’t plan on being a vet. EVER.

-I know a lot more then people my age, because of things I’ve been through.

-I married my husband BEFORE I got pregnant, we didn’t get married because we were pregnant.

-I was 18 when I got married.

-I still love my husband and enjoy behaving like kids when we can.

-Being away from my family when I graduated has made me a stronger, self reliable person.

-I don’t wear a wedding ring, and neither does my hubby. 

A. We don’t need a symbol for other people to see we love each other.

B. I don’t care what people think when they see me without a ring and a baby in the store. They can go suck an egg for judging me without knowing me. :)

C. If anyone does ever hit on me when I don’t have baby or hubby around, I always love adding to my sentence, “.. yeah, my husband thinks so too!” Lol!
